Skin Treatment Consultations During a COEX Business Trip or Seoul Visit: How to Match Your Flight Home and Recovery Time
If you are considering a skin treatment during a COEX business trip or a visit to Seoul, sort out your departure date, how much recovery time you have, and whether you can come back before choosing a treatment name. Here is what to send before booking, what documents to get before you fly home, how to plan around Sunday closures, and Medical Bloom Korean Medicine Clinic · COEX's foreign-language consultation channels.

To have a skin treatment during a COEX business trip or a visit to Seoul, first work out your departure date, how much recovery time you have, and whether you can come back, and tell us at your consultation. How long redness or swelling lasts and when changes are assessed differ by treatment, so the recommended approach can change depending on your schedule, even for the same treatment. Before flying home, we recommend getting a summary of your treatment record and aftercare instructions. Medical Bloom Korean Medicine Clinic · COEX is a 4-minute walk from Seolleung Station exits 9–10, close to COEX, and accepts consultation inquiries in English, Japanese and Chinese.

Information to send before booking
When you contact us in a foreign language, sending the following all at once speeds up your consultation.
| What to send | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Arrival and departure dates, and the days you can visit | We work out together whether there is a day to check your progress after treatment |
| The area that concerns you most | The order of the consultation differs by concern, such as lifting, scars or pigmentation |
| Names and dates of previous treatments, and how your skin responded | Helps decide whether to continue in the same direction |
| Medications, allergies and implanted devices | Some treatments, such as radiofrequency lifting, are contraindicated with cardiac pacemakers and similar devices |
| Your schedule right after returning home (work, events) | We match it against the period when redness or swelling may remain |
| Your preferred consultation language | You can choose English, Japanese or Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) |
To protect your personal information, please send facial photos following the instructions of each consultation channel.
Recovery time and assessment timing differ by treatment
On a short schedule, the most important point is that "how you look right after treatment" and "when changes are assessed" are different.
| Example treatment | Possible reactions right after treatment | When changes are assessed |
|---|---|---|
| Ultherapy PRIME | The manufacturer notes redness, mild swelling, tingling, and rarely bruising or numbness | Per the manufacturer, over 2–3 months, and up to 6 months or longer |
| Thermage FLX | The manufacturer's safety information lists swelling, pain, altered sensation and more as adverse effects | Per Medical Bloom COEX's guidance, checked over 2–6 months |
| BLOOM scar needle | Per Medical Bloom COEX's guidance, temporary redness and slight bruising | Progress is assessed over several sessions |
| Skin Boosters | Depending on the delivery method, redness, minor bruising or stinging | Progress is assessed on the basis of multiple sessions |

Planning around the Sunday closure
Medical Bloom COEX is open weekdays 10:00–19:00 and Saturdays and public holidays 10:00–17:00, and closed on Sundays. On a short schedule, try planning as follows.
- Make your first visit early in your stay: Even if you have the consultation and treatment on the same day, leaving a day when you can stop by again before flying home lets us check your skin after treatment.
- If you consult on Saturday and fly home on Sunday: We are closed on Sunday, so a return visit before departure is difficult. Please tell us this first at your consultation.
- For treatments that need several sessions: We discuss whether you have another trip to Seoul planned and set the session plan accordingly.
What to get before you fly home
- A summary of your treatment record: the treatment name, area, and device or product names. Article 21 of Korea's Medical Service Act provides that medical institutions may not refuse a patient's request for a copy of their own medical records without a legitimate reason.
- Aftercare instructions: when you can resume face washing, makeup, exercise, drinking alcohol and saunas
- Warning signs that require contact: which reactions mean you should contact us
- A post-return contact channel: which messenger, and in which language, you can use to reach us
If a dispute arises regarding treatment received in Korea, you can consult the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency. According to Medigate News, 810 consultation and mediation applications were filed by international patients from 2013 through September 2018. Check how to apply on the agency's official website.
